# Plans and Pricing 

> Explore CleanScan's zone-based pricing model, compare contractor and facility plans, and use the calculator to find the right tier for your operation.

CleanScan pricing scales with the surface area you're accountable for — not with how many people are on your team. You pay a base price plus a per-zone rate for every monitored space. The more zones you track, the more you pay; adding a new team member costs nothing extra.

## How pricing works

CleanScan uses a calculated pricing model, not flat tiers. Your monthly cost is:

The `$2.50` per-zone rate is identical across all paid plans. What differs between plans is the base price and the features unlocked at that base. The minimum is 5 zones per location.

Annual billing saves 15% and waives the one-time \$99 setup fee. Month-to-month billing is available on all plans.

### What counts as a zone

A zone is one logical space — a locker room, a stairwell, a guest floor, an office wing. You decide the granularity. A single-location gym might have six zones; a large hotel might have fifty. CleanScan pre-populates sensible defaults by industry size, but you can override them to match your actual layout.

You can adjust your zone count at any time. Changes take effect at the next billing cycle.

    ### Free

    The Free plan lets you get started without a credit card. It covers a single facility with five printable QR codes and basic issue reporting. There are no SMS alerts and no client-facing portal.

    Best for: testing the platform, very small operations, or lower-traffic facilities where email notifications are sufficient.

    ### Solo

    Solo is the first paid tier. It unlocks a client portal for your one facility, gives you hardware tags (scaled to your zone and location count), and adds a weekly email digest.

    ### Crew

    Crew is the recommended tier for growing service teams managing multiple client sites. It removes the one-facility cap and adds real-time SMS alerts so your team gets notified instantly when issues are reported.

    * Custom email digest cadence

    ### Operator

    Operator builds on Crew with a higher SMS limit, branded client reports, and cross-facility analytics. It also includes an onboarding session and priority support.

    ### Enterprise

    Enterprise is for multi-organization rollouts, procurement-driven purchases, or operations that need custom terms. Pricing is negotiated based on total zone volume.

    ### Free (Client Portal)

    Free facility accounts receive contractor reports and proof-of-work through a read-only portal. You can see what your contractor has documented, but you cannot manage zones, tags, or issue routing yourself.

    Best for: facilities whose contractor manages the operational layer and just want visibility.

    ### Site

    Site is the first paid facility tier. It gives you active zone management, hardware tags, and the public visitor QR reporting layer for one location.

    ### Property

    Property scales to multiple locations, adds SMS alerts, and lets you manage all buildings from a single dashboard. This is the recommended anchor tier for most active facility operators.

    ### Portfolio

    Portfolio builds on Property with a higher SMS limit, custom branding, and priority support. Designed for multi-building operators managing a large physical footprint.

    ### Enterprise

    For complex multi-org deployments and procurement-driven contracts. Contact sales for terms.

## Billing details

### Annual vs. monthly

Annual plans save 15% on your total bill and waive the one-time \$99 setup fee. If you're running more than a handful of zones, the annual savings are material — the pricing calculator at [cleanscan.io/pricing](https://www.cleanscan.io/pricing) will show you the exact difference for your configuration.

Month-to-month billing is available on all plans. The \$99 setup fee applies on monthly billing for all paid tiers.

### Changing your plan

Go to **Settings → Billing → Change Plan** to upgrade or downgrade.

* **Upgrades** take effect immediately. You're charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the billing period.
* **Downgrades** take effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to your current plan's features until then.

### Payment methods

CleanScan accepts all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) and ACH bank transfers. Annual Enterprise contracts can be invoiced. All payments are processed through Stripe.
